Creating links in a bulk mail.
Sometime you want to add links into your bulk mail, basically pointing people to other sites. You could of course put the entire link in your mail - but that can look a little messy. So what you want to do is make a word the link through to the site - for example "click here" - where the here clicks through to the article, or site that you have referenced to.
The way to do this is the following: put in all the text you want explaining about the site, or the article etc, and then put in a sentence for example - "for more information click here". Get the URL of the site you want the link to point to - and copy it. Then highlight the word you want the link to be in - most often it is "here". You now need to click on the Insert/Edit Link Icon on the editors menu: .
A popup will appear where you need to enter the URL - so paste the URL that you copied earlier:
Once you have pasted in the link - click on the Target tab on the dialog box, and set the target to be a New Window:
This means that when the link is clicked - it will open in a new window and not in the current window that the mail is in. Once you have et the Target, click on OK - and the wording that you highlighted will now be the link.
