Sending bulk emails.
There are 2 ways of sending bulk emails.
Option 1
- Search for the group or event in the CRM control panel on the left:
- Type the name of the group in the box next to the "group" button, and click "group" or
- Type the name of the event in the box next to the "event" button, and click "event"
- When the group/event name appears in the main screen, click on the bulk email icon
found to the right of the Activate Button.
- You will be taken to the Compose Bulk Mail Screen, and the members of the group who have email addresses will be listed in the To: box on the right of the screen. If there are names in the error box below that - these contacts either have no e-mail address (so it shows no mail address there), or they have unsubscribed (so the mail address will show - if you hover over the name - the reason for the error will show - could possibly have unsubscribed).
- Once you have completed your mail, click on preview
and then on the "Send" button. If you see something you want to change while you are on the preview screen - click on the "Back to Compose" link (do not use the back button on your browser), which will take you back to the Compose Bulk Mail screen, where you can make your changes.
- NB - once a mail has been sent, there is no way to "pull the plug" or recall the message, so make sure that all the information on the mail is correct before you preview and send.
OPTION 2
- At the top of the left hand control panel click on the icon with the bulk mail image on it

- When the bulk email compose screen opens in the main screen, you can select whether to send the email to Contacts, Groups, Organisations or Events by clicking on the blue links that appear at the top of the To field. Please bear in mind that the group or organisation has to have been created before this.
- A pop up window will appear, type in the name of the group, event or contact you wish to send the email to, select the check box, and click the "Add" button.
- Once you have completed your mail, click on preview and then send. If you see something you want to change while you are on the preview screen - click on Back to Compose, which will take you back to the Compose Bulk Mail screen, where you can make your changes. if you do go back to the compose screen - the members of the group or event will now appear in the To: box on the right of the screen.
