How to Use Google Docs on Your Mobile Device

Did you know that 48.33% of internet users in 2019 were on their mobile device? That’s a pretty big number, so, with almost half the world using mobiles for work and play on the net, we bring you a nugget of wisdom…

A few tips on how to use Google Docs on your mobile device.

Some great news is that the days of having to scroll from side to side to read a document are gone for good! Allow us to share our number ONE life hack with you.

Step 1: Open up your Google Doc
Step 2: Head on over to the 3 dots in the top right corner
Step 3: Change your view to “print layout”

How super easy is that?!

Now that you can see your entire document, let’s have a look at some other amazing hacks for you to enjoy in your (now fully mobile) Google Docs!

Search for keywords in Google Docs by doing a simple tap on the magnifying glass icon. To see your recent documents, tap the menu icon. The menu will also take you to your trash and guide you to change your settings if that’s what you need.

With iOS and Android apps easily downloadable for Google Docs, working on your mobile device has never really been this easy. There are some display differences between the app and the desktop version, but most of these are nothing more than the differences you would find between any website or social media platform on desktop versus on mobile.

One notable difference though is that the app does have some functionality limitations. There is no ruler, shapes, headers and footers, or suggestion mode. Also, if you want to create and organize folders, it may be best to download the Google Drive app to use alongside your Google Docs one.

That being said, it’s a small price to pay for the joy of being mobile and truly independent of a desk!

Now, what are you waiting for? Head on over to Google Docs and smash that project you’ve been putting off!
